Khamaré stems (vetiver)

Khamaré, also called vetiver root, gongoli or tiep, is a plant native to West Africa. It belongs to the grass family and appears in the form of large green stems whose roots can reach up to 3 meters deep. These roots are harvested, dried and braided to be used in infusion, essential oil or perfumery. Gongoli has many medicinal and aphrodisiac properties, particularly for the body.
